Shirai Gonpachi & Komuraski by Kitagawa Utamaro - Vintage Japanese Art Poster Print

"Shirai Gonpachi And The Courtesan Miura-ya Komurasaki" is a ukiyo-e woodblock print created by the Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro in the late 18th century. The print depicts a scene from a popular kabuki play of the time, featuring the samurai Shirai Gonpachi and the courtesan Komurasaki. The two characters are shown in a private moment, with Gonpachi embracing Komurasaki from behind as she looks over her shoulder. The print is notable for its delicate lines, intricate patterns, and the expressive faces of the characters. It is considered one of Utamaro's masterpieces and a classic example of ukiyo-e art.
